Nos alegra presentar la convocatoria para el Poetry Open Mic anual organizado por la London Spanish Book & Zine Fair. En esta ocasión el micrófono abierto de poesía será curado y presentado por la artista plástica y escritora Elspeth Billie Penfold (Thread and Word) y el tema central será el mismo que el de la feria: Camino a Casa / Way Home.
Buscamos una variedad de estilos que reflejen la diversidad y la riqueza de la lengua española y deben estar relacionados con el concepto de convocatoria abierta: Camino a Casa / Way Home.
«Me apasiona la inclusión y el cruce de fronteras. El bilingüismo nos da la libertad de entrar y salir de “casa”. Todos tenemos muchos hogares, incluida la Madre Tierra. Me encantaría recibir tus entradas«, dijo la curadora, Elspeth Billie Penfold.

Cómo participar
Envía tu poema por correo electrónico indicando Way Home en el asunto antes del 22 de septiembre a: 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬@𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫.𝐜𝐨.𝐮𝐤
Por favor no envíes archivos adjuntos, solo pega tu poema en el texto del correo electrónico con una breve biografía de hasta 100 palabras. Leer tu poesía no tiene que llevar más de cinco minutos ya que nos gustaría incluir el máximo número de poetas. El encuentro es presencial y de participación voluntaria. Si tu poema es aceptado recibirás una confirmación para participar del micrófono abierto el día domingo 8 de octubre en la London Spanish Book & Zine Fair de 2.20 pm a 3.30 pm.
Se pueden enviar poemas en español, inglés, Spangligh, bilingues y otras lenguas minoritarias, en cuyo caso se deberá incluir una traducción al español o inglés.

We are happy to announce that the annual Poetry Open Mic organised by the London Spanish Book & Zine Fair will take place on 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐂𝐓 | 𝟐.𝟐𝟎 𝐩𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝟑.𝟐𝟎 𝐩𝐦. Presented by guest curator Elspeth Billie Penfold (Thread and Word).
We’re looking for a variety of styles that reflect diversity and the richness of the Spanish language and must be related to the concept of this year’s book and zine fair: 𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 / 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐚.
“I am passionate about inclusivity and crossing boundaries and edges, bilingualism gives us the freedom to dip in and out of “home”. We all have many homes including Mother Earth. I’d love to receive your entries”, says Elspeth Billie Penfold.
Reading your poetry doesn’t have to take more than five minutes as we’d like to include the maximum number of poets.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To participate send your poem by 22nd September to

Please don’t send attachments, just paste your poem and a brief biography (max 100 words) into the email.
𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 / 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 / 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 / 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐥 (other minority languages are welcome but you please include its translation into Spanish or English).
If your poem is accepted, you will receive an invitation to participate at the Poetry Open Mic on Sunday 8th October from 2.20 to 3.20 pm at the London Spanish Book & Zine Fair. Participation is voluntary.
