Celebrating Chilean & Latin American culture in the UK the Voces Festival 2022 will reunite musicians Jorge Campos, Rastko Rašić, Juan Contento, Felipe Rojas, the Alkyona Quartet and the youth ensemble ECCO (Ethnic Contemporary Classical Orchestra), alongside the poets Paloma Zozaya Gorostiza, Mabel Encinas and Leo Boix.

Additionally, you can enjoy also of two more events. On Thursday 27th, Jorge Campos live at one of the most known folk venues in the UK, The Green Note and on Monday 31st October, the Poet’s Encuentro at the London Metropolitan University lead by Mabel Encinas, an evening of poetry and music.

Day 1 – An evening of music and poetry

The first concert of the Voces Festival 2022, celebrating Chilean & Latin American culture in the UK with musicians Jorge Campos, Rastko Rašić, Juan Contento, Felipe Rojas, the Alkyona Quartet and the youth ensemble ECCO (Ethnic Contemporary Classical Orchestra), alongside the poets Paloma Zozaya Gorostiza, Mabel Encinas and Leo Boix.

The evening will also include the award of the Victorina Press Vo(i)ces Poetry Contest prizes.

Saturday 5th November 7.30pm
Day 2 – Quimantu and Andover Museum Loft Singers

A brilliant programme of traditional English songs in three -and four- part unaccompanied harmony from the exciting Andover Museum Loft Singers, followed by a vibrant virtuoso set of Latin American and European music and songs from Quimantu. Special guest Jorge Campos from Chile.

The evening will also include the award to Roger Watson of a Gold Badge from the English Folk Dance and Song Society for his life-time contribution to the English folk music scene.
